Cockington Village Snow Print
Part of my Devon and Dartmouth portfolio from my decade of living by the beautiful south coast. However the mountains also call me so after over a decade painting in Devon we moved North. Settling in Windermere ‘gateway’ to the Lake District.
We welcome you to our Lake District based Gallery in Windermere. The stunning Windermere village grew around the railway station, about a mile and a half from the lake. The village was originally called Birthwaite, but the railway company decided to call the station after the lake. Over the years, the village has become merged with the older lakeside town of Bowness-on-Windermere, though the two have quite separate centres. We have many cafes and Independent shops here. And a 20 minute walk brings you to Bowness-on-Windermere. And a short walk just above is Brant Fell showing stunning views of The Langdale Pikes and so much more.
